It recognizes Dr. Hoffman’s transformative contributions to the field of plastic surgery over his illustrious 40-year career.
After a heartfelt introduction by Dr. Mia Talmor, herself a luminary in the field, Dr. Hoffman’s influence and teachings were celebrated among peers and industry experts. Dr. Talmor shared a poignant memory, highlighting the profound impact Dr. Hoffman has had on her and many others in the medical community. She reflected that “The lessons that Lloyd taught me and so many others who came before and after, have become my northern star in both practice and in life.”
During his powerful acceptance speech, Dr. Hoffman recounted his journey as a physician, from his early days as a surgical intern and resident at New York Hospital-Cornell (now known as New York Presbyterian Hospital) to his time at Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York.
Reflecting on his career and the honor bestowed upon him, Dr. Hoffman expressed his gratitude: “I am profoundly grateful for this incredible honor, and I accept it with immense humility and gratitude. Thank you once again to the New York Regional Society, my fellow plastic surgeons, and to everyone who I have had the pleasure of interacting with, and learning from, along the way.”
